Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has been confirmed dead in Gaza, according to Israeli sources

Breaking News: Yahya Sinwar, a senior Hamas leader and mastermind behind the October 7 attack in Israel, has been killed, according to the Israeli military.

• Sinwar’s body was discovered in the rubble of a Gaza building struck by an Israeli tank, as reported by a military-run Israeli radio station. The Israel Defense Forces confirmed Sinwar’s death after conducting DNA and dental record tests to verify his identity.

• Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated earlier Thursday that no hostages were harmed during the operation. Negotiations for a hostage release and ceasefire in Gaza have stalled for nearly a month, according to Qatar’s prime minister, who mentioned "silence from all parties."
